HOME Invited Overseas Designers Program Japanese Design Center has served local industries in various realms to enhance their ability to plan and design new products. Specifically, the Center invites and matches spirited domestic and overseas designers with the local companies in Gifu, and provides them with opportunities to collaborate and promote their new products in market. （1）Support to companies of Gifu for developing design-valued original products （2）Assistance to enhance human resources development by providing hands-on activities on product development （3）Sales promotion support （1）Oribe Institute of Design Setting up a project team for participating companies, and providing hands-on activities, Design Center assists companies of Gifu to develop original products and enhance human resources development. （2）Invited Overseas Designers Program This program ended in March 2010 Inviting young overseas designers of high caliber, Design Center assisted companies of Gifu to develop distinctive products that incorporated sensibility of different cultures. Program Outline （3）Dispatching design advisers Design Center dispatches design advisers corresponding to the various design needs that a company has. Advisers are experienced experts and support individual problem solving. This program is operated by Manufacturing Center. Providing various presentation opportunities, Design Center assists companies of Gifu to make contacts with retailers, enhance market communication, and draw attention of opinion leaders. Putting out product information on the Internet and catalogue, Design Center promotes products of companies of Gifu and assists them to accumulate business skills and know-how.
